Allama Sadiq Taqvi acquitted in case against anti blasphemy rally which Shia Muslims took out to register a peaceful protest against blasphemous American short film.

Shia Muslims had reached the U.S. Consulate to hand over memorandum of protest against the movie that desecrated the sanctity of Holy Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

However, the biased police officer had ordered registration of case against the protesters despite the fact that one adorer of Holy Prophet Mohammad (BUH) had embraced martyrdom.

MWM legal aid committee waged legal battle for Allama Sadiq Raza Taqvi against the baseless and false charges since 2012.

Finally, the team got justice as the court acquitted renowned Shia Islamic scholar.

Then, Allama Sadiq was serving as secretary general of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) Karachi chapter.

Legal Aid sources said that MWM leaders Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari and Allama Baqir Abbas Zaidi had pursued the case. Due to their attention and directives, they got justice.
