Annual conference on Imam Hussain held in Multan to commemorate the great sacrifice which Hazrat Imam Hussain made for revival of Islam and oppressed humanity.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi also addressed the 42nd Hussainia conference held in Multan on Saturday.

He said that Muslims of entire world are commemorating the Imam Hussain’s great sacrifice in Muharram.

Furthermore, he said the great sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain teaches us the lesson of patience, tolerance and standing firm against the oppression.

Minister said that Kashmiris followed footprints of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and refused to bow to the Indian brutalities.

Shah Mahmood said that unarmed Kashmiris have given the message to India that their destination is freedom.

He lamented ban on Muharram congregations and Majalis in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi urged the International Community and Human Rights organizations to force India to stop aggression in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K).

Shia Muslims observe Ashura to commemorate Imam Hussain led Martyrs of Karbala

On 10th Moharram Ashura Day, Shia Muslims observe Ashura to commemorate Imam Hussain-led Martyrs of Karbala across the world, including Pakistan.

They observe sacred mourning (called azadari) on 10th day of Moharram to pay homage to Imam Hussain and other martyrs of Karbala.
