Jafaria Alliance head warns of protest due to lack of Moharram related arrangements.

Allama Syed Razi Jafar Naqvi was referring to needed security arrangements, cleanliness of the roads and surroundings of Moharram azadari (sacred religious mourning) congregations and processions.

Veteran Shia Islamic scholar reminded the government to shoulder its responsibility and ensure immediate completion of all related arrangements.

He said that the government must ensure no overflow of sewerage line or gutters.

Similarly, he said, government need to beef up the security; otherwise, responsible for any mishap would lie on the government itself.

Allama Razi Jafar said that General Zia-led regime had also imposed restrictions on azadari but followers of Imam Hussain (AS) continue to commemorate Great Martyrs of Karbala.

Hence, he made clear no regime could restrict followers of Imam Hussain (AS) from azadari (mourning).
