Pakistan Army chief calls for strengthening of all state institutions in his address to the War Course participants at NDU Islamabad.

Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa Thursday visited National Defence University (NDU).

He addressed the participants of the National Security and War Course.

He highlighted internal and external challenges to National Security.

Furthermore, he said that full spectrum of these challenges demands comprehensive national response, and strengthening of all state institutions.

According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the COAS shared his thoughts on security environment of the region and his vision of enduring peace in Pakistan.

He vowed Army would keep doing all that is required of us for provision of secure environment for sustained socio-economic progress.

General Qamar Javed Bajwa also reiterated Pakistan Army committed to defence and security of the country and shall continue to perform with national support.

Earlier, the NDU president Lieutenant General Muhammad Saeed received Pakistan Army Chief on his arrival.

Meanwhile, Pakistan rejected US country report on terrorism, while terming it “self-contradictory and selective” in its characterization of Pakistan’s efforts for countering terrorism and terrorist financing.

The Foreign Office said issued a statement in response to the U.S State Department’s Annual Country Report on Terrorism 2019, which accused Pakistan of harbouring terrorism.
