MWM demands foolproof security for Moharram with closure of all terrorist havens

Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen has demanded that foolproof security be provided for Moharram azadari processions in all over the country and all the safe-havens of the terrorists be destroyed forthwith.

“We also repeat our demand that Operation Zarb-e-Azb be expanded to Karachi and to all the places where takfiri terrorists are being sheltered,” urged Ali Hussain Naqvi, Secretary for Political Affairs Karachi chapter of the MWM, speaking at a press conference here on Saturday.

He said that Ashura tragedy Rawalpindi happened due to the delinquency of the government and the security officials who failed to arrest the takfiri nasbi terrorists hiding inside the mosque. He said that despite provocative and takfiri speeches made by the fanatics inside the mosque, no action was taken against them hence there is a need to ensure no such incident is repeated this year.

“Government Moharram Policy has angered peaceful and law-abiding Shia Muslims because inaction against the takfiri fanatics and arrest of innocent Shia Muslims proved the government’s partiality and tilt towards the takfiri extremists and terrorists,” he said. He demanded immediate release of all the detained innocent Shia Muslims forthwith.

MWM official made clear that Shiites didn’t need permission or licenses for azadari in any part of the country. He said that it was inalienable legitimate right of Shia Muslims to commemorate the Martyrs of Karbala and preventing them from exercising this fundamental religious and cultural right, also guaranteed by the Constitution of Pakistan, was tantamount to treason.

“Please don’t ask Shia Muslims to limit azadari during Moharram. You are duty-bound to pave way removing bottlenecks in the way of azadari so that people observe azadari without any fear. For that, you need to assert your writ by crushing terrorists instead of lecturing azadar,” he stressed.
