Fake cases registered against peaceful protestors

Two cases were registered against peaceful protestors who had staged a protest in Rahim Yar Khan against Khanpur Tragedy, martyrdom of Allama Saqlain and Kohistan Tragedy.
The protest was staged on March 10. Reports had it that around 400 people were named in two FIRs for peaceful protest. FIRs against 350 people and 35 persons were sealed because of Chief Minister Punjab’s Bahawalpur visit.
The religious scholars had led the protest. It is learnt that administration was covering up the FIRs because of no protest during Chief Minister Punjab’s visit. Shia organizations have condemned fake cases and demanded of Punjab Government to order for withdrawal of the cases forthwith. Otherwise, another protest might be lodged for withdrawal of cases.
