Sunni scholars praise Martyrs of Kabala at Azmat e Ahl e Bait Conference

Eminent Sunni scholar Maulana Javed Akbar Saqi’s Maulana Saqi Memorial Society hosted Azmat-e-Ahl-e-Bait (AS) Conference in Sargodha district of Punjab to promote unity between Sunni and Shia Muslims.

Maulana Javed Akbar Saqi and other noted Sunni scholars spoke at the conference where Shia notables also attended and expressed their views.

They praised Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions who embraced martyrdom in Karbala. They said that Imam Hussain (AS), an infallible leader from Ahl-e-Bait (AS) set a precedent and introduced the best trend to defend the true Islam against the Islam of Yazid that was a misnomer to cover-up the Umayyad tyrant’s despotism.

They called upon Pakistani Muslims to learn from the philosophy of Imam Hussain (AS) and defend Islam by identifying the friends and enemies and by strengthening unity between Sunni and Shiites.
