Deobandi leader says Shia-Sunni conflict result of West-driven conspiracy
Fazal-Ur-Rehman, head of Deobandi party Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), said that Shia-Sunni “conflict” is a result of a conspiracy of the U.S.-led West while the acts of terrorism in Quetta are part of a plot to pitch Pakistan against Iran.
Addressing at Mufti Mehmood Conference in Quetta, Molvi Fazal said that these plots against Iran and the machination aimed at creating sectarian tension would not succeed.
It appeared that his anti-takfiri speech angered the takfiri terrorists because Fazal ur Rehman came under a suicide attack as he got inside his vehicle to leave the venue of the procession. He remained unscathed but two others lost their lives while 30 more sustained injuries. Initial reports suggested that one of the deceased was the suicide bomber.
