Governor Punjab assures MWM leader of resolving Youm-e-Ali related issues during a meeting in Lahore.
Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) Pakistan’s political affairs secretary called on Governor Chaudhry Sarwar.

Both of them shared views on current situation, religious harmony and programmes relating martyrdom anniversary of Amirul Maumineen Imam Ali (AS).
Punjab Governor said that he would ensure to resolve these issues on preferential basis.
Ch Sarwar said that the authorities concerned should clarify if SOPs for religious congregations required further clarification.
Earlier Syed Asad Abbas Naqvi reminded that SOPs which President of Pakistan announced during meeting with Ulema allowed religious congregations.
Moreover, he said, all schools of thought must have freedom to religious congregations in accordance with the SOP.
Earlier, MWM Pakistan secretary general also had said that administration was trying to ban azadari congregations on martyrdom anniversary of Amir al Maumineen Maula Ali (AS).
While addressing a press conference in Islamabad he asked the government to refrain from impeding mourners.
He said any restriction on azadari (sacred mourn) on martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (AS) is not acceptable.
Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari said that in this regard they have sent letters to President and Prime Minister.
Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen leader further said that they have also sent letter to Minister for Religious Affairs.
He said that Shia Muslims have right to observe their religious and cultural rituals in accordance with the government’s SOPs.
