Therefore, it urged them to take the Covid-19 seriously and strictly follow the guidelines of medical experts in this regard.

Imamia Medics International (IMI) alerted that maintaining social distance during mourning procession remain next to impossible.

Hence, the organisation appealed to Shia Muslims to avoid holding processions and congregations.

Instead, they asked them to hold mourning following the experts’ guidelines at home or join online events.

It further said that they are also making contacts with veteran Shia Islamic jurisprudents in this regard.

However, they requested the community members not to take this humble advice for granted.
