Allama Raja Nasir also attends consultattive meeting with President of Pakistan wherein government gave conditional permission for congregations during Ramazan.

Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen secretary general Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari and many other scholars attended the meeting.

Earlier, Islamic scholars agree on conditional congregational prayers during Ramazan which the government sought at a consultative meeting with them.

President Arif Alvi chaired the consultative meeting in Islamabad today.

Meanwhile, Pakistan government chalked out a 20-point strategy based on precautionary measures.

However, they formulated this strategy in consensus with the religious scholars and the provincial governments.

Scholars agree on conditional congregational prayers

Moreover, the federal government also took Azad Kashmir on board to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

According to official sources government agreed to conditionally allow prayer congregations and Taraweeh during the holy month of Ramazan.

President told scholars the government could have to reviewe recommendations during Ramazan in two cases.

First, the government would have to review if it felt that the precautionary measures are not being adhered.

Second, if the number of coronavirus affected people have risen sharply.

The conditions for mosques and Imam Bargahs had it: 1) no carpets. 2) Prayers on the floor with a distance of six feet between the people offering prayers.

3) Ablution at home and washing of hands for twenty seconds with soap before leaving for the mosque with masks on their faces.

4) Observing social distancing and refrain from any sort of gathering after the prayers.

5) No gatherings for Iftar and Sehr in mosques during Ramazan.

6) Washing floor of the mosques with chlorine added water.

7) No Namaaz-e-Taraweeh on the roads and foothpaths.

8) Prayers at mosque courtyards and no prayers in the halls.

9) No entry of children and the people above the age of 50, those suffering from any disease including flu, fever and cough.

10) Taraweeh can also be arranged at homes.

11) People observe Aitakaf at homes.

12) Administration of mosques will also establish committees in order to ensure implementation of these precautionary measures.

13) The mosques’ administrations and Imams will also stay in touch with the district and provincial authorities and fully cooperate with them.
