Malik Mohammad Amir Dogar who was elected as Member of Pakistani Parliament (National Assembly) has thanked Shia party Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen over their support to him in the electoral contest against Makhdoom Javed Hashmi.

Mr. Dogar contacted Allama Iqtidar Naqvi, secretary general of the MWM Multan Chapter and formally expressed his thanks and well wishes for MWM’s support to him.

“Shia Muslims supported me. Shiites played key role in my success in the bye-election that I shall never forget and I shall always remain thankful to Shiites,” he said after he trounced Javed Hashmi who defected from Imran Khan of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf and contested bye-election to National Assembly from Multan’s constituency NA-149. Switching from one party to other is a habit of Hashmi.

Allama Naqvi urged Mr. Dogar to represent entire constituency in the Parliament and reflect masses opinion in the House.
