Sunni scholars demand expulsion of drunkard Tahir Ashrafi from CII

Eminent Sunni Bralevi scholars of Pakistan have demanded that Deobandi cleric Tahir Ashrafi must be expelled from Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) because the drunkard cleric was not qualified for any religious or morally sacred positions.

More than 25 well-known scholars of Pakistani Sunni Tehrik’s Ulema Board urged the government to take immediate action to disqualify the boozer cleric. They expressed concern that Tahir Ashrafi damned cared Muslim Pakistanis as he appeared on Geo TV program after drinking wine.

They asked the Ashrafi to clarify his position why he was found drunkard many a times and even the news channels caught him red handed. He urged him to repent for bad habit that is forbidden in Islam.
