Zahid Ali Akhunzada questioned why those measures which apply on Shia Zaireen were not applied on non-Zaireen.

However, he also expressed satisfaction over timely departure of Zaireen from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa quarantine centre after negative test reports.

He said that other provinces should also follow the suit.

Mr. Akhunzada condemned the delaying tactics regarding permission for Zaireen’s return to homes on negative test reports.

Meanwhile, Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen announced to support and cooperate with those Zaireen if they wage legal battle against unfair and unjustifiable blame game, their media trial, malicious campaign against them.

Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, MWM Pakistan secretary general made this announcement while addressing a press conference.

Furthermore, he cited facts that the federal government had taken Zaireen into custody on their entry from Taftan border crossing.

The government kept them for two weeks at Taftan in the name of quarantine but provided no facility to them there.

However, after two weeks, the federal government had not allowed Zaireen to return homes but they transferred them to the quarantine centres at provinces.

Allama Raja Nasir noted that provincial governments too kept Zaireen at their quarantine centres for more than two weeks.

Hence, he said that Coronavirus in Pakistan has not come through Zaireen (pilgrims).

Pakistan should follow Turkey

On the other hand, an analyst suggested that Pakistan should follow Turkey in preventing Coronavirus spread because the country remains entangled in Turkey-like situation.

Earlier, Turkish interior minister Suleyman Soylu said Saudi Arabia failed to tell any country, including Turkey, about the coronavirus threat amid pilgrimages to the country.

“People returned from Umrah [lesser pilgrimage]. The Health Ministry took measures right after the first case was observed” and put the pilgrims in isolation centers, Turkey’s minister further said.

He told news channel A Haber that that left Turkish authorities to take measures right after confirming the first case among those returning from Mecca. However, it had already started damaging Turkey.
