ISO mourning day and protest against Shia massacre in Peshawar and Gilgit
Imamia Students Organisation has announced countrywide protest and mourning day being observed on Friday against the Shia genocide through bomb blasts in Peshawar and Gilgit on Thursday.
“Shia genocide in Peshawar and Gilgit is part of a deep-rooted conspiracy and government and security officials were aware of the possible terrorist attacks on Shia Muslims but their criminal negligence enabled the takfiris to perpetrate these heinous crimes,” said Tahwar Haideri, newly elected President of the ISO in his reaction to the massacre.
He said that the government failed to punish the terrorists involved in genocide against Shia Muslims in the tragedies of Chilas, Lulusar and Kohistan and other major incidents of terrorism.
“Had the takfiri terrorists been hanged publicly for their ferocious, heinous and anti-humanity crimes in Pakistan, their comrades would have surrendered fearing capital punishment. But they considered government’s inaction a green signal to go ahead,” ISO President said.
He said that ISO was registering protest and mourning the killings by staging rallies and holding congregations in all over Pakistan today.
