Karachi celebrates birth anniversary of Imam Ali

Karachi celebrates birth anniversary of Imam Ali with religious fervor in Karachi like other parts of the country, today.

The celebrations began after sunset on 8th March, the night between 12th and 13th Rajab.

Shia Muslims illuminated their buildings, streets, mosques and Imam Bargahs.

They also hosted special congregations at mosques and Imam Bargahs in Karachi and every nook and cranny all over Pakistan.

The main event in Karachi held under the aegis of Hyderi Council and Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen in Saddar.

Karachi celebrates birth anniversary

Jubilant followers and admirers of Maula Ali largely participated in these events.

Thousands of people participated in the Jashn-e-Maulood-e-Kaaba celebrations and rally at Ghafoor Chambers Abdullah Haroon Road Saddar.

The rally culminated at Mehfil Shah-e-Khorasan.

MWM Sindh chapter secretary general Allama Baqir Zaidi presided over the event where Allama Qazi Ahmed Noorani represented JUP.

Hyderi Council’s Mehmoodul Hassan, Ayaz Imam Rizvi, Naqi Imam, SM Naqi, Mansoor J, Hakeem Sultan Qadri, Amin Khandawala, Jafaria Alliance’s Shabbar Raza, MWM’s Allama Mubashir, Allama Ali Anwar, Nasir Hussaini and others also spoke.

Meanwhile, MWM’s supporters also illuminated their offices and areas across the country.

Cake-cutting ceremonies and seminars on commander of faithful Imam Ali also held.

Speakers highlighted various aspects of the holy life of Hazrat Ali as Imam and matchless caliph or pious ruler, scholar, military commander, strategician and mystic.

They called for emulating Hazrat Imam Ali in countering conspiracies of enemies of Islam.

They also emphasised the unity of Muslims against the forces of evil.

Eminent scholars said that Maula Ali/Ahle Bayt remain sources of guidance and unity among Muslims.

They also cited Quranic teachings regarding Ahle Bayt, especially reverence and adoration and emulating them.
