Tahwar Haideri elected new President of Imamia Students Organisation

Hundreds of the officials, who happened to be the members of the Electoral College, elected Tahwar Haideri, as new President of Imamia Students Organisation. Two names were proposed for the positions and as compared to Abuzar Mehdi, Mr. Haidery secured majority votes. 

Eminent senior religious scholar and founder of Centre for Islamic Research and Propagation Allama Haider Ali Javadi announced the voting result and the name of the elected President. Allama Hashim Mousavi from Quetta, an official of the Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen administered oath from Tahwar Haideri.

“The new position is a divine blessing but also a test. I need cooperation of the colleagues to pass this test,” newly-elected ISO President said in his brief remarks at swearing in ceremony. The man from Jhang district of Punjab is a student of Bahauddin Zakaria University Multan and he served the ISO as Secretary General in the cabinet of his predecessor Imran Athar.

Tahwar Haider stressed on unity, united efforts and compatibility to achieve the sacred goals of the ISO. He made clear that the ISO remains an organisation for students/youths with an aim to attract young students to the teachings of the infallible leaders of Islam so that they act upon those divine teachings and play constructive role in society.
