Chehlum of Khanpur terrorism: A mammoth congregation was held

Thousands of lovers of Imam Hussain (A.S.) attended chehlum of martyrs of Khanpur blast on Thursday. More than 34 people were killed in a terrorist attack through bomb blast during chehlum procession that was brought out to commemorate the martyrs of Karbala.

A congregation was held where Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen’s top officials spoke. They included Allama Amin Shaheedi, Maulana Abbas Qummi, Asif Deenpur, a zakir namely Ali Raza and other office bearers. Poets, Noha Khwan and manqabat khwan also recited nohas and manqabats. Congregation that was started at 10 a.m. continued till Maghrib prayers.

The speakers said that terrorists were free to challenge the writ of the government in the settled peaceful area but government and establishment have failed to thwart terrorism so far. Banned terrorist outfits were out again with their nefarious agenda but government lacks a foolproof course of action to nip them in the bud.

People valiantly renewed their pledge that they would continue to defend Islam and azadari that is an Islamic tradition. They said that martyrs of Karbala are role model for whole suffered humanity. They raised slogans such as Labbak Ya Hussain (A.S.) and Labbaik Ya Mahdi (A.S.).
