Sunni parties and eminent scholars stage rally against ISIL and Taliban
Sunni parties and well-known scholars staged a rally to condemn the Syrian and Iraqi ISIL and Taliban labeling them as takfiri and khawarij who had nothing to do with Islam.
Leaders of Jamiat Ulema Pakistan (JUP) and Pakistan Sunni Tehrik (PST) and eminent Sunni Bralevi scholars and notables such as Sarwat Aijaz Qadri, Allama Qazi Ahmed Noorani, Allama Aqeel Anjum, Mufti Bashir ul Qadri, Allama Abdul Ghaffar Owaisi, Shabbir Abu Talib and other notables led the rally.
They took out rally from Noor Baba shrine near Teen Hatti and marched towards the shrine of Alam Shah Bukhari, Eid Gah area on main M.A. Jinnah Road near Jamia Cloth Market.
“Civil society, human rights activists, media persons, politicians and professionals pay no attention to the ISIL terrorists and this inattention will push country to a new wave of terrorism in Pakistan,” said Shabbir Abu Talib.
Allama Qazi Noorani, Allama Aqeel Anjum and Mufti Bashir ul Qadri said that ISIL, Taliban and their allied groups attacked the holy shrines of sacred and great saints of Islam in Syria, Iraq and Pakistan.
They vowed to continue their campaign against the takfiri terrorists and in next phase they would march from Kashmore to Karachi in Sindh province. Then, they said, Ya Rasoolullah (PBUH) March would be held from Karachi to Lahore and finally the March would be staged from Lahore to Islamabad to register protest against the government for its inaction against the takfiris.
