They highlighted significance of martyrdom. They said that martyrs are true preachers of Islam.

The speakers said that sacred blood of martyrs such as Muzaffar Kirmani has preserved Islam and its spirit.

Terrorists assassinated Mr. Kirmani and Nazeer Abbas near Nishtar Park in Soldier Bazaar Karachi on February 05, 2001.

Mr. Kirmani had served Pakistan and humanity as a visionary social and religious figure.

He had founded a matami anjuman Lashkar-e-Imam Zamana.  He was one of those who highlighted the issue of Palestine and al Quds in late 1970s and early 1980s. Muzaffar Kirmani led Quds Day rallies as well.

Then he entered into mainstream politics. He had contested election to National Assembly as TNFJ leader.  He also served as an active leader of TJP.

Finally, he founded his own think-tank to preach Islamic ideology. The pious soul remained misfit in the society where intolerance and hatred overshadowed everything in 1980s and 1990s.
