Pakistan-wide condemnation for takfiri terrorists against the murder of Ali Akbar Kumaili

Targeted assassination of renowned Zakir-e-Ahl-e-Bait (AS) Ali Akbar Kumaili evoked a strong reaction from the Pakistan’s mainstream politicians of ruling and opposition parties who condemned the takfiri terrorists.

Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif strongly condemned the killing of Allama Akbar Kumaili, son of Allama Abbas Kumaili. They expressed grief over the assassination and sympathized with the bereaved family.

“People will foil designs of terrorists through unity,” said Nawaz Sharif categorically.

The PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that killings of Shia scholars and professionals are equally and highly condemnable acts.

“PPP considers all the citizens of Pakistan equal regardless of sects, ethnicities and even religions and terms such killings as attack on the very roots of this country and its historic diversity, he said.”

Imran Khan, chairman, Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf condemned the murder of Ali Akbar Kumaili.

“There will be no place for hate mongers in our New Pakistan. We are all one,” he said condemning the banned Sipah-e-Sahaba, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and outlawed Jundullah, takfiri outfits involved in the murder of Mr. Kumaili.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain also strongly condemned the killing of Ali Akbar Kumaili. He demanded the government to arrest the culprits immediately and bring them to book.

Former interior minister and PPP leader Rehman Malik has said that the Sindh police have been ordered to submit a detailed report on the murder of Ali Akbar Kumaili within two days. He said this while talking to media at the residence of Allama Abbas Kumaili on Sunday where he had gone to offer heartfelt condolence over the murder of his son.

“Abbas Kumaili is my elder brother and I have come here to offer condolence over the tragic murder of his son,” he said.
