Iran Parliament speaker accords warm welcome to Pakistani lawmakers. They met Dr Ali Larijani during visit of Pakistan-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Group to Iran.

According to Radio Pakistan, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Dr Ali Larijani warmly welcomed the delegation.

Moreover, he expressed his best wishes and happiness to meet with the Parliamentarians from Pakistan.

Pakistan Iran PFG

He noted Parliamentary Friendship Group as an important forum. Dr Larijani said that the forum could facilitate in further strengthening bilateral parliamentary relations between two countries.

He also emphasised to improve security measures on the border of the Pakistan-Iran to avoid any untoward situations.

Pakistan Iran trade ties

He proposed to explore mechanisms for establishing banking channels for enhancing trade and commerce relations.

Furthermore, Iran Parliament Speaker also called for fulfillment of the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline.

Naveed Qamar

Meanwhile, convener of Pakistan-Iran PFG Syed Naveed Qamar briefed him about his meetings with parliamentary and government authorities. He also shared points of discussions on various issues of mutual interest.

He also informed that the Parliamentary Friendship Group is working towards facilitating in improving the Parliamentary as well as overall bilateral relations between two countries.

Forum an ambassador of Iran

Notably, Naveed Qamar reiterated that friendship group was acting as Ambassadors of Iran in the Parliament of Pakistan.
