Indian restrictions on Eid Miladul Nabi in Kashmir condemned as the Foreign Office slammed the Modi-led BJP government of India.
Indian restrictions on Eid Miladul Nabi
Foreign office statement noted that India sealed all roads leading to the Hazratbal Shrine in Srinagar. It further cited that India also closed other holy shrines and mosques in India- occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Moreover, it said that the Indian occupation forces aimed to stop processions on Eid Miladul Nabi.
Kashmiris not allowed to celebrate
Traditionally, Kashmiris observe birth anniversary of Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH), the last apostle of God and Prophet of Islam and Humanity.
Kashmiris mark Miladul Nabi celebrations with great fervour but this year India deprived them of their religious and cultural right.
Pakistan sees Indian restrictions on celebrations and other congregations on Miladul Nabi (PBUH) represents utter disrespect for the sentiments of Muslims of IOK.
Moreover, the FO statement cited all this a flagrant violation of their fundamental freedom of religion.
International community urged
Meanwhile, the FO urged the international community, the United Nations, and other human rights organisations to take notice of this.
It urged them to take notice of the brutal suppression of the religious rights and freedoms of the Kashmiris and violation of international laws and conventions.
