Allama Ramzan Tauqeer surprised why MWM backs Revolution March

Allama Ramzan Tauqeer, President, Shia Ulema Council, Khyber-Pukhtoonkhwa provincial chapter, has expressed surprise over the support of leading Shia party Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, to the Dr Tahir ul Qadri’s Revolution March from Lahore to Islamabad.

“I am surprised over decision of our friends in the MWM why the joined Mr. Qadri because MWM raise revolutionary slogans and talk o Wilayat-e-Faqeeh and Qadri talked of Western style system,” he said in an interview.

He said that no major political party was sincere with the Shia Muslims of Pakistan because Shia genocide continued unabated during their tenures in the government. He said that Shia Ulema Council understood that those who have launched these Long Marches are not important figures and they are incapable to deliver hence SUC didn’t join them.

“We have talked of Defense Policy for Shiites of Pakistan that doesn’t mean that we are going to take arms. It means we shall ensure safety and security through constant contact with fellows in other schools of thought and government but if the rulers fail, then, Laws of Pakistan and Quran allows us for defensive war and Qisas,” he explained.
