Shia-allied parties’ Revolution March to shift sit-in outside Parliament House
Shia-allied parties’ Revolution March is to shift its sit-in outside Parliament House to pressure the government to step down and face trial for Model Town massacre on Tuesday evening.
The sitters were asked by Dr Tahir ul Qadri what to do and they said no to go back but they insist that sit-in should be staged in front of Parliament House. They raised the slogans of “Go Nawaz Go” to convey to the leadership that they want sacking of the government and dissolution of Parliament and Provincial Assemblies.
The sit-in that began late on Friday after their Revolution March reached Islamabad, continued on Tuesday on Khayaban-e-Suhrawardy. Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen is one of the co-leaders of the anti-government protest together with Dr Tahir ul Qadri of Pakistan Awami Tehrik, Sunni Ittehad Council’s Sahibzada Hamid Raza and PMLQ’s Chaudhry Shujaat and Chaudhry Pervaiz Ilahi.
Shiite News Correspondent updated from Islamabad on Tuesday evening that the deadline of Revolution March’s leadership ended and now said leaders thrashed out what to do next. Then, Mr. Qadri presented options to the protestors who insisted nobody would return without getting agenda accepted.
Shia-allied parties want change of system because of its flaws and incompetence that gave birth to continued rule of corrupt and incapable politicians. They want reforms and implementation on the Constitution altogether to make Pakistan a truly welfare state.
