ASWJ leader cught red handed while molesting a girl at a mosque in district Toba Tek Singh.

Saddening and shocking incident occurred in Basti Mohammadabad, Sandilian Wali tehsil.

There, ASWJ cleric Riaz Basra was molesting a 10-year girl while the latter was a student of Quran recitation.

However, residents of the area made a timely raid and caught him red handed.

Furthermore, they handed him to the area police.

Moreover, Riaz Basra is ASWJ (Sipah Sahaba) district chapter president in Toba Tek Singh.

Reports had it that the area residents had received many complaints since long. But, they turned a deaf ear because of sectarian issues.

Finally, they themselves saw that the cleric remained engaged in molestation of minor child.

Some clerics remain involved in this heinous crime

The police of Dhamial area of Saddar Bairooni also had arrested a cleric last month.

Notably, tey held  the cleric on the basis of a medical examination of the 12-year-old student.

After the police swung into action, the suspect  tried to prove himself innocent and shouted anti-police slogans.

After medical examination proved that the child had been abused, the suspect was taken into custody.

However, the police have decided to conduct a DNA test.

A case was registered with the police on the complaint of the victim’s father.

SP Iqbal said: “All measures will be taken to investigate the case on merit, including conducting a DNA test and other legal formalities.”

The CPO directed the SP to probe whether the cleric had also molested any other child and if any such report comes to surface, separate FIR may be registered for each crime.

If the family does not want to become a complainant due to social pressure, police will be the complainant in the FIR, the CPO added.
