Scared of Shia Opposition, Punjab govt orders arrest of Allama Nasir Jafari

Saudi-backed biased Punjab government has ordered the police to arrest Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, secretary general of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, due to his alliance with the anti-government Sunni parties.

A team of Lahore police led by DSP Muslim Town namely Khuwaja Zahid Abbas, surrounded the provincial secretariat of the MWM in Lahore. They rounded up some persons there and tried to ascertain the whereabouts of Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari and other officials of his MWM.

On failure, they lifted the siege and released the MWM supporters. MWM officials denounced the police and Punjab government for their unjust action.

Allama Nasir Abbas Jafari said that Shia Muslims support the legitimate demands of the Sunni allies against the biased and incompetent PMLN government. He said that rulers were to go. He reiterated his pledge that MWM would participate in the Martyrs Day programs and Revolution March.
