Women and female children largely participated in the rally of Imamia Students Organisation (ISO) Female Wing that was staged here on Tuesday to protest against the demolition of the holy shrines and graves in historical Islamic graveyard of Medina namely Jannat ul Baqi.

Carrying banners and placards, they chanted slogans, Labbaik Ya Zahra (AS), Labbaik Ya Rasoolullah and Labbaik Ya Hussain (AS). They also raised slogans against the unelected hereditary Arab monarch of Saudi Arabia on the anniversary of the demolition.

Maulana Aqeel Moosa, Khwahar Nargis and Khwahar Gul-e-Zahra spoke to the protestors outside Karachi Press Club where the rally was culminated.

They said that in 1925, intolerant Saudi-Wahhabi fanatics destroyed all Islamic heritages, in Medina. The only shrine that remained intact was that of the Holy Prophet (s).

They said that the grave of the father of the Prophet (s), house of sorrows (Bayt Al-Ahzan) of Sayyida Fatima (a), the Salman al-Farsi mosque, Raj`at ash-Shams mosque, the house of the Prophet (s) in Madina, where he lived after migrating from Makkah, house of Imam Ja`far Al-Sadiq (a), the complex (mahhalla) of Banu Hashim, the house of Imam Ali (a) where Imam Hasan (a) and Imam Husayn (a) were born, the house of Hamza and the graves of the martyrs of Uhud (a) were destroyed alongside the razing of the holy shrines and graves in Jannat ul Baqi in Medina.

They urged the international community and Muslim bodies across the world to punish the unjust and anti-Islamic brutal action of the Saudi Wahhabi monarchy. They demanded that all the razed buildings, shrines and graves should be reconstructed forthwith. They said that on the one hand, the Saudi Wahhabis find it offensive to have the tombs, shrines and other places of importance preserved, while the remains of their Saudi kings are being guarded at the expense of millions of dollars?
