Pakistanis remember oppressed Kashmiris on Defence Day

The Pakistani nation is observing Defence and Martyrs Day today in commemoration of the September 6, 1965 War imposed by India.

Most importantly, Pakistan has devoted Defence and Martyrs Day to Kashmiris by observing it Kashmir Solidarity Day as well.

Notably, the day began with a 31-gun salute in the federal capital and 21-gun salutes in the provincial capitals.

meanwhile, Muslims offered special prayers after Fajr prayers for the independence of occupied Kashmir. Anbd they also prayed for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.

The mausoleum of founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah in Karachi saw a special ceremony. That included the changing of the guards as well.

Maj Gen Muhammad Aamir laid a wreath on Allama Iqbal’s mausoleum at a special ceremony in Lahore where a contingent of the Pakistan Army presented a guard of honour.

Kashmir issue remains an unresolved agenda of the realisation of Pakistan, said Pak Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

Notably, he said this, was addressing an event at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi in commemorate 6th September.

Furthermore, he said that it would remain so until a solution on the basis of the United Nations resolutions and the will of the Kashmiri people. Gen Bajwa also slammed India for state terrorism at its peak in occupied Kashmir.

Moreover, he vowed: “I want to assure the people of Kashmir, Pakistan will never leave them alone.”

The COAS said that the hearts of Pakistanis and Kashmiris beat together.
