Khanpur terrorism: MWM stages rally in Karachi
Karachi: A rally was staged to condemn the bomb blast in Chehlum procession and other acts of terrorism against Pakistani Shia Muslims and lack of action against the terrorists by the government.
A large number of people attended the rally that was started from Mehfil-e-Shah-e-Khorasan and culminated at Imam Bargah Ali Raza (A.S.) Chowrangi.
They lifted placards and banners. They were raising slogans against the terrorists. They said that they mark solidarity with the martyrs of Chehlum (Khanpur).
The MWM leaders Maulana Aijaz Behishti, Maulana Mirza Yousuf Hussain, Maulana Munawar Naqvi, Maulana Sadiq Raza Taqvi and Maulana Nazir Abbas Taqvi spoke to the protestors.
They said that following the footprints of martyrs of Karbala, Khanpur’s maumineen and azadar embraced martyrdom. They said that government and administration have not yet taken any concrete action that could thwart terrorism at its root.
They recalled that even security forces had come under attack by these terrorists. They said that terrorism and terrorists should not be taken for granted. They said that had due action been taken in view of past bitter experience, terrorists would have been crushed.
They condemned the silence against terrorism. They said that covert talks with the terrorists have encouraged them. They said that it was in the interest of Pakistan and unity of people that all sorts of deal with terrorists should be scrapped. They demanded the relevant authorities not to patronize these terrorists because they don’t deserve flexibility or mercy.
