MWM demands foolproof security, needed facilities for azadari
Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen has asked the concerned authorities to ensure foolproof security and provision of all required facilities for azadari congregations during Moharram.
MWM Pakistan deputy secretary general Allama Ahmed Iqbal Rizvi made this demand, here on Friday.
He was addressing a press conference at his party’s provincial Wahdat Secretariat.
He also called for removal of heaps of garbage and sewerage water around and near mosques, Imam Bargahs and routes of azadari processions, forthwith.
Allama Ahmed Iqbal said that Sunni and Shia Muslims observe azadari tiogether for Imam Hussain and his companions.
He vowed that both Sunni and Shia Muslims would defeat enemies’ plots against azadari for martyrs of Karbala. .
The MWM leader announced Azadari Cell to facilitate mourning congregations during Moharram. Ali Hussain Naqvi and Chaudhry Azhar Hassan will lead the cell team at MWM Sindh secretariat.
Members include: Allama Sadiq Jafari, Allama Ali Anwar Jafari, Mir Taqi Zafar, Allama Mubashir Hassan, Sibt-e-Asghar, Arif Raza, Hassan Raza, Zain Raza and Sajjad Samairi.
Notably, Allama Ahmed Iqbal condemned targeted murder of senior heart specialist Dr Askari Haider in Karachi. He said his murder a loss of nation and humanity.
However, he also lamented the callousness expressed by that hospital’s management regarding treatment of Dr Askari Haider.
Furthermore, MWM leader said that timely treatment would have saved life of Dr Askari, had Patel Hospital provided needed treatment on time. He demanded Sindh government to take action against the said hospital.
He said the terrorists continue to escape capital punishment despite killing hundreds of Shia doctors and other professionals and notables.
Allama Ahmed Iqbal noted escalation on LoC and the entire region due to India’s unilateral provocative measures with concern.
Moreover, he said that cross-border terrorism on Af-Pak border also posed existential threat. He also condemned Modi government’s intensified atrocities in occupied Kashmir. MWM leader vowed that Pakistani nation stand with Kashmiris.
However, he expressed dismay over role of political leadership on Kashmir situation.
Furtehrmore, he lamented that political leadership too was following the so-called international community by making empty statements.
