Bomb blast kills two security officials in Bajaur Niaga Banda
Two personnel of the armed forces, including an officer, embraced martyrdom due to a bomb blast in Mamond Tehsil of Bajaur tribal district.
The officials said that a remote-controlled bomb went off by the roadside in the said area leaving another four injured.
As per their routine, the security personnel were patrolling in the area. During that their vehicle hit a roadside remote-controlled bomb in Niaga Banda area at around 7pm (yesterday). Notably area situated some 20km northwest of Khar, the headquarters of Bajaur.
Soon after the blast, people from nearby areas arrived at the spot and started rescue work.
Later, personnel of security forces and Bajaur Levies launched a search operation in the area.
Reports had it two personnel — Major Saqib and Sepoy Maroof embraced martyrdom while four soldiers injured in the tragic incident.
Furthermore, the officials said that the injured identified as Arif, Sohil, Imran and Niaz Ahmad. The cops shifted them immediately to the district headquarters hospital in Khar for treatment.
Moreover, they sent bodies of the martyred officials sent to their native towns, officials said.
However, no terror group claimed responsibility for the blast till the filing of this report.
