Pakistan Parliament Kashmir panel head welcomes Trump offer

Chairman Pakistani Parliament’s Special Committee on Kashmir, Syed Fakhar Imam welcomed the statement of US President on Kashmir.
Most importantly, President Donald Trump has reiterated his offer to mediate on the long-standing issue of Kashmir. Again on Thursday, Mr Trump told reporters at White House of his offer to mediate on the Kashmir dispute.

Talking to reporters in his chamber at the Parliament House, Fakhar Imam hailed Trump’s offer.
Furthermore, he called for taking representatives of Kashmiris on board if India and Pakistan sit on the table for a dialogue.

Moreover, veteran politician said that the second statement of President Trump on the Kashmir issue clearly indicated US seriousness. It means US seriously want to get the issue resolved to ensure peace in South Asia, he asserted.

Meanwhile, Fakhar Imam cited that no US president had ever issued such a statement in the past.

Hence, he declared Trump’s statements of a silver lining for resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
He urged India must revisit its stance on the Kashmir dispute and come for talks with Pakistan.
