Faisal Raza Abidi acquitted in ex-CJP contempt case

Anti-Electronic Crimes court acquitted former senator Faisal Raza Abidi in a case registered against him for using indecent language against former chief justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar.

The judge Tahir Khan announced the verdict reserved on Thursday.

However, the court found accusations against Faisal Raza Abidi could not be proven. Hence, the court acquitted him.

Most importantly, Abidi first came under heat after a video of his interview went viral on social media.

The FIR registered earlier accused Abidi of using language deemed abusive, contemptuous and threatening.

Furthermore, the FIR also noted his allegations against government institutions.

However, the court found accusations against the former senator could not be proven. Hence, the court acquitted him.
