Sheikhdom of Muslim Muwahhideen in Syria Urges to Beware of Sectarianism

Sheikhdom of Muslim Muwahhideen community in Syria on Monday called on people of the homeland to be aware of all those who attempt to stir sectarianism and resort to mind otherwise in tackling different issues. In a statement, the Sheikhdom said ” Sweida residents are used to coexistence in an atmosphere of fraternity, amity and equality among all society’s components,” warning of those who seek to agitate sectarianism through heinous acts that offend the whole homeland. The Sheikhdom condemned acts of kidnapping and theft that occurred during the crisis, calling for “confronting them and assuming the moral, religious and social responsibilities to punish those who violate law and moral standards.” It called upon members of the Druze sect to be devoted to their history, traditions, beliefs and forefathers’ heritage which urge to maintain good neighborhood and bonds with fellow-citizens who live in the homeland.
