Mass March in Tartous in Honor of Syria’s Martyrs

Large masses organized a march on Sunday at the Marine Corniche in Tartous city in honor of Syria’s martyrs and to mark the 66th anniversary of establishing al-Baath Arab Socialist Party.

Participants carried Syrian flags and banners saluting the sacrifices of the Syrian Army, emphasizing national unity, and denouncing the media war carried out by some Arab and western channels to pave the way for foreign interference in Syria’s affairs.

Participants stressed that the Syrians’ unity foiled the plots of Syria’s enemy, asserting that the Arab League no longer represents Arabs as it has become a base for Israeli and US intelligence used to undermine Syria, adding that granting Syria’s seat at the League to the opposition doesn’t grant them legitimacy to represent the Syrian people.

The participants reiterated their rejections of all plots and propaganda targeting Syria, voicing support for the political program for resolving the crisis and national dialogue.

They also called for pressuring neighboring countries which train and arm terrorists and send them into Syria.
