building1A source at the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry on Thursday said that the Ministry strongly condemns the liquidation of the Palestinian militant Mayssara Abu Hamdyeh in the Israeli occupation jails after the Israeli occupation refused to treat him despite his deteriorating health.

The source added that Syria holds the Israeli authorities responsible for the martyrdom of Abu Hamdyeh, reaffirming its solidarity with the Palestinian Arab people to restore their land and their legitimate rights.

The source said that Syria considers that the martyrdom of Palestinian detainee Abu Hamdyeh as a new crime to be added to the Israeli criminal record, filled with violations of the international law and human rights, calling on the United Nations to assume its responsibility to protect Syrian and Palestinian detainees in the Israeli jails.

The source said that the plots and terrorism which target Syria’s national role and resistant line will not divert its attention from the fundamental Arab cause, the cause of confronting the Israeli occupation and restoring the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
