Bahrainis slam deadly police crackdown

Ant-regime protesters have taken to the streets in several villages in Bahrain to protest against the Manama regime’s recent bloody crackdown on protesters
Several people were arrested during the fresh demonstrations that were held on Tuesday.
The protesters condemned the recent killing of four Bahraini demonstrators including 19-year-old Mohammad Ebrahim Yacoub who was reportedly tortured

to death while in custody last week.
They also called for the downfall of the Al Khalifah monarchy and the release of political prisoners.
On Monday, Bahraini protesters clashed with Saudi-backed security forces after riot police fired teargas to disperse the people who were attending a funeral ceremony for the 19-year-old protester.
Dozens of people have been killed and hundreds more arrested or fired from their jobs since the beginning of the popular uprising in Bahrain in February 2011.
On January 26, the Amnesty International called on the Bahraini authorities to “investigate and account for the reports of more than a dozen deaths following tear gas use.”
The Amnesty International also called on the US government to “suspend transfers of teargas and other riot control equipment to the Bahraini authorities.”
