Army Nearing Complete Liberation of Central Part of Syria from ISIL’s Occupation
The Syrian Army troops continued to advance against ISIL in the Eastern territories of Homs and Hama provinces, paving the ground for the full liberation of Central Syria after almost four years of terrorists’ occupation.
The Syrian pro-government forces imposed heavy defeats on ISIL after taking control over the key town of al-Sukhnah in Eastern Homs and their advances in the Southern parts of Raqqa province in recent days.
In the meantime, thousands of the Syrian soldiers East of the town of al-Salamiyah in Eastern Hama managed to advance significantly towards the town of Aqayrabat, driving ISIL out of a number of key positions.
Also, the Syrian and Russian fighter jets have continued their heavy air raids on ISIL’s movements and positions in the Eastern territories of Hama and Homs.
According to a military source, the ISIL has sent most of their fighters deployed in Eastern Hama to the Tayebeh region.
The source added that the ISIL terrorists are being deployed to Tayebeh in order to obstruct the Syrian Army from reaching their forces in the Homs province.
Aqayrabat has long been the ISIL’s main stronghold in the Central Syria as it is a cross-roads town that is located near the provincial borders of the Hama, Homs, and Raqqa provinces, and SIL’s defeat in al-Sukhnah is a severe blow to the terrorists in Aqayrabat.
Losing Aqayrabat — after al-Sukhnah — will leave the ISIL group with no choice but to abandon Central Syria and move their remaining militants to the Eastern part of the country, Deir Ezzur.
Damascus is on the verge of imposing full control over the central parts of the war-hit country after 3 and a half years as ISIL withdrew from Aleppo province and Southern Raqqa following the Syrian army’s massive attacks on all the three fronts.
Military officials said following the army’s control over Aleppo and its forces’ continued advances in Raqqa province, and Eastern Homs and Hama, it now seems that the Central parts of the country will soon be cleaned of terrorists after three and a half years of occupation.
A military source also said that with the liberation of the regions East of al-Salamiyah and recapturing of the remaining regions in Northeastern Homs, the army forces will be capable of imposing full control over the Central part of the country.
Experts believe that simultaneous with the army’s anti-ISIL operations in Homs, Hama and Raqqa provinces, the pro-government forces’ control over Deir Ezzur province that is considered as the second bastion of ISIL in Syria after Raqqa, can end ISIL’s presence in the war-torn country.
Relevant reports said on Thursday that the ISIL started retreating from Central Syria after the army forces intensified their offensives in the Eastern parts of Homs and Hama provinces.
“Our planes have spotted Daesh (ISIS or ISIL) fleeing East Salamiyah in large numbers,” a source told the Arabic-language AMN website.
“They are fleeing because they will undoubtedly be encircled by our forces soon. We are going to link up with the army in Resafa (Southern Raqqa) and cutoff their supply route to East al-Salamiyah,” the source stressed.
The Syrian Army’s recent success at Al-Sukhnah has led their forces to push North towards Raqqa province rather than Deir Ezzur.
Meantime, the Syrian soldiers are approaching Deir Ezzur province from several pivots to break the siege on its capital city and airbase.
The days of ISIL retreating to the desert are now over and the Takfiri terrorists have nowhere to go anymore, as Deir Ezzur becomes their last stomping ground in Syria.
