Syria Army Inflicts Losses on Takfiri Terrorists in Dara’a
Syria’s army and its allies continued to make gains in their military campaign against Jabhat Fatah al-Sham (formerly known as al-Nusra Front) terrorists in the southwestern province of Dara’a, killing and injuring large groups of them.
On Saturday, Syrian forces targeted the gathering centers of al-Nusra Front terrorists in the areas of Bosra al-Sham and Dara’a al-Balad in Dara’a, inflicting major losses on them.
Separately, the Takfiri militants suffered serious setbacks on road of al-Sad after the Syrian government troops hit their positions in Dara’a al-Balad area.
Earlier, the Syrian troops targeted fortifications belonging to Jabhat Fateh al-Sham in the city of al-Tiha in Dara’a, claiming the lives of scores of Takfiri militants.
Over the past six years, Syria has been fighting foreign-sponsored militancy. UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura estimated in August that more than 400,000 people had been killed in the Syrian crisis until then. The UN has stopped its official casualty count in Syria, citing its inability to verify the figures it receives from various sources.
