Syrian Army Targets Long ISIL Convoy near Palmyra

The Syrian army alongside the popular forces stormed the logistic path of the ISIL Takfiri terrorist group in the Central province of Homs, and destroyed a large number of the group’s vehicles, sources announced.

The Syrian forces destroyed a large number of the ISIL vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns in the countryside of Palmyra in al-Mashtal, Bir Abu Tawala, Marhatan and near al-Busairi checkpoint, which cut the logistic path of the rebels.

Syria has been grappling with a deadly crisis since March 2011. The violence fuelled by Takfiri groups has so far claimed the lives of over 210,000 people, according to reports. New figures show that over 76,000 people, including thousands of children, lost their lives in Syria last year.
