Western anti-Daesh campaign only superficial: Syria

Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal al-Miqdad said some Persian Gulf Arab countries are sending money to the US Congress to prevent a comprehensive nuclear agreement between Iran and the 5+1.

He made the remarks in an exclusive interview with Iranian TV Channel 1 on Thursday night.

He said his country has always been optimistic towards gaining a final victory over terrorists.

He said the terrorists, from the very first day of the crisis in Syria, acted according to the will of their main supporter, namely the Zionist regime.

He said the Syrian nation has managed to foil the plot by certain countries like the US, France, the UK and Saudi regime to topple the legitimate Syrian government through supporting Takfiri terrorist groups.

Saying that 90 percent of Takfiri terrorists during the past decade were engineered by Britain, he added that it was an open secret that such groups served to spread crises and massacre of Muslims by their fellow brothers.
