Syrian Army Strikes Heavy Blow at Rebels in Homs, Idlib
The Syrian Army continued its fight against the armed groups in Homs and Idlib provinces, and inflicted heavy casualties on militants.
The army soldiers struck a heavy blow at the rebels in the areas of al-Rastan, al-Zara, Khatab, al-Mshairfeh and al-Wadihi in Homs, leaving a large number of them dead and wounded.
Also, the foreign-backed insurgents suffered major losses in Maardabsa, Dadykh, al-Habit, Maaret al-Numan, Basrajah, Koren, al-Arbaeen, Sarmin, Kaminas, Selon and al-Shiekh districts in the countryside of Idlib, and claimed the lives of too many of them.
Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs and terrorists against both the army and civilians.
The unrest, which took in terrorist groups from across Europe, the Middle-East and North Africa, has transpired as one of the bloodiest conflicts in recent history.
As the foreign-backed insurgency in Syria continues without an end in sight, the US government has boosted its political and military support to Takfiri extremists.
