Berri: Campaign against Hizbullah Full Misery

Lebanese Parliament’s Speaker Nabih Berri expressed his astonishment of the campaign being waged against Hizbullah, under the pretext of the so-called al-Arabiya documents.

In an interview with “as-Safir” Lebanese daily, Berri stressed that ” the party denied the fabricated accusations, and said it is waiting the judiciary’s decision.”

“Why do they insist on continuing the attack against Hizbullah?” he wondered and added “is the campaign on a national party, like Hizbullah, a condition of internal cohesion?”

“It is for sure misery by all means,” Berri confirmed.
In this context, the Speaker highlighted that “there are political sides that want to exploit the documents for political purposes.”
He further pointed out that “rotating campaigns have been targeting Hizbullah, Amal and the Free Patriotic Movement recently.

“What is the aim of spreading these climates that promote segregation in such a fateful stage which requires the highest degree of national consensus?” Berri asked.
