Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s father passes away

Reports from Lebanon say Abdul Karim Nasrallah, the father of Hezbollah’s slain leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, has passed away.

Sayyed Abdul Karim Nasrallah was born in Al-Bazouriyah, a village near Tyre in southern Lebanon. According to reports on Monday, he died of illness at the age of 90, more than a year after his son Hassan Nasrallah was assassinated by Israel.

Hassan Nasrallah lost his life in intense airstrikes on the southern suburb of Lebanon’s capital Beirut on September 27, 2024.

He served as the third secretary-general of Hezbollah. Under his leadership, the Lebanese resistance movement achieved significant victories against Israel, including an end to the regime’s 18-year occupation of Lebanon in 2000.
