The Zionist occupation forces tried to hinder the Lebanese Army works aimed at reopening the road into the southern outskirts of Adaisseh town on Lebanon’s southern borders with occupied Palestine.

A Merkava tank and a military jeep incurred into Khallet Al-Mahafer area in south of Adaisseh town, in an attempt to stop the Lebanese Army works.

The Lebanese Army issued a statement in which it indicated that one of its military units removed newly constructed earthen barriers erected by the Israeli enemy in the town of Adaisseh-Marjayoun, and reopened the road leading to one of the town’s hills, in coordination with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

During the operation, enemy forces fired into the air near the army units to force them to withdraw, according to the statement, which added that, however, the unit’s personnel continued their work while the military deployment was reinforced against the enemy until the road was cleared.
