Lebanese Hezbollah claims attacks on Israeli targets
The Lebanese Hezbollah group has said it struck Israeli sites and soldiers in the vicinity of the Birkat Risha, Ramtha and Samaqa, in the disputed Shebaa Farms.
The attacks follow those launched by Palestinian group Hamas from southern Lebanon against two military bases in northern Israel. Israeli police reported material damage in the border town of Kiryat Shmona.
The Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, also claimed to have hit the headquarters of Israeli Eastern Command 769 and the Beit Hilel airport barracks in northern Israel.
