Rockets fired from southern Lebanon towards Israeli military sites
Rockets were fired towards Israeli military posts in the disputed Shebaa Farms area, according Al Jazeera Arabic and Lebanese media.
Shebaa Farms is a small strip of land near the Lebanon-Syria border and the Golan Heights that Israel has occupied since the 1967 war.
The rocket attack came after Israel’s army earlier reported it had struck several Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon, including in the villages of Hula and Aita al-Shaab.
