Iranian FM Meets Sayyed Nasrallah, Palestinian Resistance Leaders

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah received Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, the Lebanese resistance party announced on Friday.

Sayyed Nasrallah discussed with the Iranian FM the latest development in Lebanon and the region, a statement released by Hezbollah’s Media Relations read.

Amir Abdollahian was accompanied by the Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Mujtaba Amani, the statement added.

The top Iranian diplomat arrived in Beirut on Thursday after a two-day visit to Syria.

Meeting with Palestinian Resistance Leaders

Separately, Amir Abdollahian held an extended meeting with the leaders of the Palestinian resistance movements of Hamas and the Islamic Jihad, Iranian media reported.

Both sides laid emphasis during the meeting on the need for the liberation of Palestine from Israeli occupation, according to Press TV.

The Iranian FM reiterated that the Islamic Republic was still committed to its strategy of lending support to the Palestinian nation and resistance.

For their part, the Palestinian officials said that the resistance was the strategic option for the Palestinian nation, Sputnik news agency reported.

As they affirmed that the operations in the West Bank is a priority, the resistance leaders vowed to keep up the attacks against occupation forces in the West Bank.
