Deputy secretary-general of Lebanon’s Hezbollah said the proximity of Islamic schools of thought foils US and Israeli plots to disintegrate Islamic countries and wage sectarian and religious wars.

In a meeting with the Secretary-General of the World Forum for Hamid Shahriari on Wednesday night, Naim Qassem stated that the practice of bringing Islamic schools of thoughts closer together had been a decisive and effective response to confront divisive people, takfiris, and cultural and field terrorism.

“It also thwarts US and Israeli plots to disintegrate Islamic countries and wage sectarian and religious wars,” he noted.

“Our experience in Lebanon is a model of the resistance’s efforts to assimilate with national and Islamic unity, and Hezbollah is always eager for dialogue, cooperation, and confrontation with the enemies of Lebanon and the Islamic Ummah,” pointed.

He called the formation of the Lebanese cabinet a very urgent demand of Hezbollah and all Lebanese citizens.
